Getting Started with BandClub
You can be up and running in about ten minutes. Here is everything you need to know to go from signup to your first fans.
1. Create Your Account
Head to bandclub.org and click Start Free. Enter your email or phone number and verify your account. That is it. No credit card required to get started.
2. Set Up Your Band Profile
Once you are in, BandClub will walk you through creating your band. A few things to have ready:
Your band name. This becomes the name of your fan portal.
Your subdomain. Your band gets its own URL at yourband.bandclub.org. Keep it short and close to your band name. You can use hyphens if your first choice is taken.
A bio. A paragraph or two about who you are. Write it the way you would introduce yourself at a show, not the way a press release would.
Your genre. Be specific. Celtic Americana says more than just Folk.
Your location. Helps fans find you and helps bookers know where you are based.
3. Upload Your Images
Two images make the biggest difference early on.
Your avatar is your profile picture. Square format, 512x512px recommended. Use your band logo or a strong band photo.
Your cover image is the banner across the top of your page. 1920x1080px works best. This is your first impression so use something that actually represents your sound and aesthetic.
4. Add Your First Project and Songs
A project is an album, an EP, a demo collection, or anything else you want to organize your music around. Create one, give it a name, and start uploading tracks.
This is also where you will set up your EPK demo playlist later, so think about which songs you want representing you to bookers and press.
5. Invite Your First Members
This is the moment the whole thing starts to feel real. BandClub gives you a personal invitation email tool so you can reach out to your existing fans, mailing list contacts, or anyone else you want to bring in first.
Write it like a person, not a newsletter. Tell them why you wanted them specifically to be among the first to join. That personal touch makes a bigger difference than any feature list.
6. Start Sharing Content
Post an update. Share a photo. Drop a track. The content does not have to be polished to be valuable. A behind the scenes moment from rehearsal, a rough demo, a quick note about what you are working on. Your early members are there because they want to be close to the process, not just the finished product.
Plans
Free Forever gets you up to 100 fans and 5GB of storage. It is a genuine free tier, not a trial. Start here and upgrade when you are ready to grow.
Pro is $19 per month. Unlimited fans, 100GB of storage, and access to the full feature set including the EPK, advanced membership tiers, and the content calendar.
Where to Go From Here
Once you are set up, the help center has detailed guides for everything including managing your band profile, setting up membership tiers, creating events, enabling your EPK, and customizing your community labels and copy.
If you get stuck, contact support. We built this for our own band so we know exactly where the rough edges are.
